Legos...

11/365  They are everywhere in this house. It's Kira's main fun time activity. She has quite the variety.

This is just one of the buckets we have for legos.

 There are "boy" legos with fighter planes and trucks, "girl" legos called lego Friends with horse stables and dog shows, all the way to SpongeBob SquarePants legos.

And Jax is still practicing tummy time! Getting stronger everyday :)

Hands full...

 10/365  We didn't do a whole lot today. I know I didn't get much done. Jax has decided he doesn't need sleep today. He was up from noon until 10pm, with maybe a total of one hour of mini naps. And the only way we got him to fall asleep was by taking a car ride. It was my absolute last resort, I mean it's 10pm! We were both getting frustrated so I bundled him up and away we went. Good thing I love going on car rides myself :)

The photos above are fuzzy iPhone photos. The flash was too bright for her too handle. Oops. lol. We were trying to figure out the macro setting on her new camera she had gotten for Christmas. 

Love those cheeks, even if you won't sleep! :)

Lately I keep thinking about tattoos. I think I'm ready for some new ones, I've got a few ideas!

Guess who got a haircut?

 

9/365  Kira has been asking for a haircut for a while now. She says she wanted it short! That's fine with me. Then she motions up around her ears! Yikes! I tell her that maybe we should start at the shoulders first. Just in case she doesn't like it. She agreed to that. We found a cute picture and off we go. It's super cute. I asked her what she thought of it, her reply? "I love it!" That's all that matters ;)

 

 "I'll get him, mom. I can do it."

 I love it when she wants to help out. She's a good helper, even if it's short lived!

 8/365  Both my girls are finally home! They get to spend the whole week together. Hopefully the week gets better, Kira's anyway. Today I didn't remind Kaci to pick up Kira, I kind of thought she would remember since it was Monday. Kaci got home, by herself. She forgot Kira today. I ran out the door. I looked all over school. She was no where to be found. I took off and started on the route I remember Kaci telling me they take home. There she was, 1/4 of the way home. I was so relieved! Needless to say she was in tears. "They forgot me!" I felt so bad, and I know Kaci did too. When we got home, Kaci told her how sorry she was. Kira said, "It's ok." She bounced back pretty quick and was ready to play. At least now I know she knows how to get home if for whatever reason she needed to do it again.

And while the girls were away at school, this is how we spent our morning :)

Wake up! :)

7/365 Sleepyhead :) Jax usually wakes up at 3 am and then again around 5 or 6. Last night was the second night in a row that he has only woken up once in the middle of the night.  Fingers crossed that it sticks! Now if only I could get him to go back to sleep in his bassinet! The only other bad thing about him sleeping so long is that he's quite the heavy wetter. Sometimes we wake up with damp clothing.

 That's why we're not wearing any clothes! Oh well, at least he's happy :)

Who wouldn't love waking up to that face? 

 

 

 

PS: I was told that the bottom two pictures were not blog-worthy. I wonder if that meant don't post them? ;) I think they are sweet.

 

 

All Mine!

Checking in at 7 days old.

They are all mine and I never have to give them back! Sounds silly, but sometimes it hits me and I think, Wow, I have a baby! He's mine and is staying here forever! (in a good way!) Add in a 12 and 8 year that I couldn't live without! They all fit together perfectly! <3

Date Day

6/365  Today was Date Day! We had gotten a gift card for Christmas to the Outback Steakhouse for Christmas from my sister and her husband. I also received some gift cards to use for my birthday, so we decided to turn it into a mini date day :) We had a lot of fun together!

These are the goodies we ended up with! Kyle picked out the boots from the Vanity. I was actually able to get quite a bit at Victoria's Secret because of their semi-annual sale. AE had 50% off their clearance, and I was able to find two shirts there. I had bought some perfume from Hollister quite a while ago. As soon as I got home, it started making me nauseous. I took it back and exchanged it for this one, it's called Sadie. It smells so good! While we were in La Crosse we stopped at Once Upon A Child. They had big sales too! Half that pile of clothing was 70% off! Jax is growing like a weed! We had to go look for some more outfits. Who doesn't like shopping for cute baby clothes! :)
